“Lines” is the latest offering from eclectic Melbourne duo Au Dré and the first single from their forthcoming sophomore EP to be released later in 2017.
“Lines” Written by lead singer/Trumpeter Audrey Powne (The Do Yo Thangs) and produced by Keyboardist James Bowers (Sex on Toast, The Vaudeville Smash) is about the risk involved in taking a friendship to the next level.
The soulful and energetic female lead vocals are matched by the bold and exciting production which throws back to 80s boogie and funk whilst capturing the swagger of contemporary R&B and hip hop from the likes of Anderson Paak and Kaytranada.
“Lines” demonstrates Au Dré’s ability to fuse the sensibilities of old school R&B with contemporary production and displays why many consider them to be one of the most exciting new faces of Melbourne Contemporary R&B.
Au Dré will launch “Lines” in Melbourne at Boney on April 27th with Close Counters, MÁS and Raaghe.
